See the cats of the sanctuary like never before! Our tram ride gives the opportunity to see double the cats than our walking tours. All guests are required to stay on the tram at all times, however there will be designated stops at the driver’s discretion for better photo and educational opportunities. The tram will slow for cats that choose to visit or “chase” the tram during its course around the sanctuary. The riding tours are less interactive as there is no food incentive for the cats to come meet with tour groups like the walking tours offered at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, but still a unforgettable experience to learn about our big cats! Limited seats, call for availability.

Yes, we offer guided tours of the animals to the public Wednesday-Sunday at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 4 pm. Please check tour descriptions for individual tour times as different tours have different start times.
If you are interested in the Awareness, Feeding, or You Feed Tour you will not need reservations or advance tickets. We recommend that you call us at 417-587-3633 ex. 0 to reserve the Behind the Scenes or Day with the Director Tour, because availability is limited.
We recommend you arrive 30 minutes prior to your tour in order to give you plenty of time to get checked in, use the restroom, or start looking around in our gift shop and backyard.
We encourage you to commemorate your visit with as many photos/videos as you would like! Be sure to share them with us on our Facebook page! (All photographs and videos taken on NTS property are for personal use only and are not to be used for commercial or financial gain.)
An average tour includes a 1/4 mile walk on a gravel path. There are benches along the tour route where you can stop and rest. Strollers, electric scooters, and wheelchairs are welcome on the tour. We have electric scooters available to rent, but reservations are recommended due to limited availability.
Yes, all of the tours involve being outdoors. We conduct tours rain or shine year-round.
